Suzanne M. Hazen, O.D.

Suzanne M. Hazen, O.D. is a primary eye physician with a doctorate in Optometric Medicine from the Southern California College of Optometry at Fullerton. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She is professionally trained to assist with laser vision correction procedures, along with minor ophthalmic surgeries. Dr. Hazen joined Morris Eye Group in 2003.

Dr. Hazen has established a reputation in the North County for her thorough and professional eye examinations. She is also known for her caring attitude and the detailed attention she provides to her patients' needs. She is a member of the Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH), where she has traveled as far away as Costa Rica to provide free eye care to underprivileged people. Dr. Hazen is also a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA), and the California Optometric Association (COA).

Dr. Hazen grew up in Lake Forest, Illinois where she became an avid fan of the outdoors. She met her husband while going to school in Boulder, Colorado, and they currently reside in Encinitas with their young son. When not seeing patients, she enjoys cycling, tennis, gardening, and photography.
