Morris Eye Group customizes treatments for each individual patient. There are many factors that play an integral role when deciding which procedure is best for each patient. Not only it is important for the doctor to give his medical opinion, but it is also important for the patient to communicate with the doctor ones desires and needs.
The Laser Vision Correction Process:
At Morris Eye Group we offer different techniques for accomplishing Laser Vision Correction. Although there may be many choices when it comes to the procedure, the process for having each one is similar. After the doctor has visited with the patient at his/her complimentary consultation, and he/she has been determined a good laser vision correcting candidate, and we have taken all the necessary measurements, the patient is then ready for the procedure. We give patients proper post-op instructions that will help them heal effectively and timely. On the procedure day, the patient will need a driver and can expect to be at our office for an hour and a half. The procedure itself only takes about twenty minutes. At the patient’s request, and doctor’s approval, an oral sedative may be given to assist with anxiety prior to the procedure. Fifteen minutes following the procedure, the doctor will check the patient’s eyes and will be discharged. After the procedure, most patients go home and relax or take a nap. We will schedule a post operative appointment for the patient and will see the patient in one-four days depending on what type of procedure the patient had done.
