Cataract Surgery

Our eye surgeons: Dr. Morris and Dr. Aminlari

Thanks to new advancements, this is a great time to have cataract surgery. Just like a camera has a lens, so does the eye. A cataract is a clouding of  the natural lens within the eye and the only way to remove a cataract is with cataract surgery.

Cataract surgery involves removing your natural lens and replacing it with  a synthetic lens implant. If surgery is recommended, you along with your doctor will determine which lens implant is best for you. It is important for you to understand various lens implant choices. There are several types of synthetic lens implants available today, the choice you and your doctor make together on which implant is right for you, will determine  your functional vision after surgery. Some of our lifestyle lenses allow for less dependence on glasses, while others only correct the cataract and require new glasses after surgery. Below is a brief description of our most commonly used implants.
