Blue Light Filtering Lenses

Optical Center - Morris Eye Group

Picture
Blue light causes the gradual deterioration of the macula over your lifetime, leaving our eyes exposed and susceptible to developing macular degeneration. Prevention is key! With the rise of technology use, we are exposed to blue light more and more.

Blue light is found in fluorescent lighting, most electronic screens (cellphones, tvs, tablets, etc.), and the sun.
Every generation is a suitable candidate for BluTech Lenses and no prescription is required. This lens is formulated to protect the macula from the long blue rays of light. The lens color is also relaxing due to the enhanced contrast and definition of text when reading. The champagne lens color also promotes the production of melatonin by working with your circadian rhythm which can be negatively affected by dim lighting.  The contrast from the blutech lens helps to diminish the shadowing around objects in dim light therefore easing the strain on the eyes.

BluTech Lenses protect your eyes from the dangers of high levels of UV rays and harmful, high-energy blue light for a lifetime of vision preservation. These lenses provide a protective barrier by directly infusing the perfect amount of ocular lens pigment and melanin into the lenses.  This patented technology allows for optimal protection without altering or distorting color perception.
